🔥 Have you ever wondered how far you can ride in 13 hours and 30 minutes?

🇬🇪 May 26 is Georgia’s Independence Day, and we celebrate it our way: on bicycles. We want to continue this tradition this year as well, and we are holding the first 200 km brevet of 2026 on this day.

About the event

A brevet is an international challenge with more than a century of history.
It is a test of your endurance, time management, and planning skills. You are not competing against others, you are competing against your own limits.
Simply put: you earn a finisher medal if you complete 200 km in less than 13 hours and 30 minutes.

  • Distance: 200 km
  • Time limit: 13 hours 30 minutes
  • Format: self-supported

Self-supported means that each participant is personally responsible for: navigation, nutrition, hydration, and technical issues. Outside assistance is not allowed, except for publicly available services.

About the route

We decided to offer 2 options:

  1. The Gravel route is circular, starting and finishing in Marneuli. However, it includes 23 km of unpaved road, so a Gravel/CX bike is recommended.
    • Start - Marneuli
      Opens: 09:00
    • Checkpoint 1 - Tandzia
      Opens: 10:10 (1h 10m)
      Closes: 12:00 (3h 0m)
    • Checkpoint 2 - Gomareti
      Opens: 12:14 (3h 14m)
      Closes: 16:20 (7h 20m)
    • Checkpoint 3 - Tetritskaro
      Opens: 13:35 (4h 35m)
      Closes: 19:24 (10h 24m)
    • Finish - Marneuli
      Closes: 22:30 (13h 30m)
  2. The Road route follows the same road for the first half, and then returns on the same paved road, making it suitable for Road bikes.
    • Start - Marneuli
      Opens: 09:00
    • Checkpoint 1 - Tandzia
      Opens: 10:10 (1h 10m)
      Closes: 12:00 (3h 0m)
    • Checkpoint 2 - Gomareti
      Opens: 12:14 (3h 14m)
      Closes: 16:20 (7h 20m)
    • Finish - Marneuli
      Closes: 22:30 (13h 30m)

Who can participate

Participation is open to physically prepared cyclists who are capable of covering a long distance at a steady pace.

Road and Gravel bikes are recommended.

Why it is worth joining

A 200 km brevet is not just a distance. It is a test of willpower, discipline, and mental strength. It is also the first step toward longer brevets: 300 km, 400 km, and 600 km.

Recommendation

Prepare responsibly, ride wisely, and celebrate Georgia’s Independence Day together with your bicycle.

Hard routes, but very beautiful. I hope, next time gravel route will be more than ~30km and will include gravel type 3 and (or) 4 level.
